The footage later focused on a blue truck and a white truck traveling in front of the fire truck.
Both vehicles allegedly refused to give way, despite the fire truck’s attempts to pass.
At one point, the fire truck tried to overtake the white truck, but the blue truck reportedly swerved left, blocking its path.
All vehicles eventually reached an area near the fire scene, where a heated argument followed.
During the confrontation, the driver of the blue truck claimed to be an employee of the office of Tanza Mayor Archangelo Matro.
The video quickly went viral and caught the attention of the LTO. In response, the agency issued show cause orders against the two drivers and the owners of the trucks involved.
The vehicles were placed under alarm, while the drivers’ licenses were placed under preventive suspension for 90 days.
The LTO emphasized that emergency vehicles are mandated to protect lives and property, and motorists are legally required to yield to them.
