Liang, who is also a Philippine Army reservist and a licensed commercial pilot, spent the morning interacting with the young patients and the dedicated medical team at the hospital.

Photos shared by Sparkle GMA Artist Center captured the singer’s hands-on involvement, showing a more intimate and compassionate side of the celebrity as he personally encouraged the children before their procedures.

This medical mission is the latest installment of "Project Ngiti," an advocacy Liang officially launched in 2022.

The project was inspired by his iconic hit song of the same name, transforming a musical masterpiece into a tangible humanitarian effort.

"I want to help them have a normal and happy life," Liang previously stated regarding his advocacy.

He noted that children with cleft palates often grow up as targets of bullying and discrimination, which can severely hinder their psychological development and future opportunities.

Through these sponsored operations, Liang hopes to restore their confidence and integrate them fully into society without fear of mockery.

The birthday event highlights Liang's multifaceted life outside of show business. Beyond his career as a balladeer, Liang has consistently pursued academic and civic excellence.

In 2025, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Development Administration with a major in Security Development Administration from Philippine Christian University.

His background as a military officer and scholar has reportedly influenced his disciplined and service-oriented approach to celebrity life.

For Liang, using his platform to bridge the gap in healthcare access is a duty he embraces alongside his roles in the cockpit and on the stage.

As the ten children begin their recovery, Liang’s "Gift of a Smile" mission serves as a reminder of how personal milestones can be used to spark significant community impact.

Last year, the singer-pilot publicly alerted his followers about the rise of deep-fake videos that use his likeness to solicit unauthorized donations and personal funds. These AI-manipulated clips have reportedly deceived over 100 women, utilizing advanced technology to replicate Liang’s voice and face for romantic and financial scams. During a recent media engagement, Liang detailed how bad actors exploited his online presence to create "romance scam" narratives that targeted unsuspecting fans. The "Ngiti" hitmaker emphasized that he never requests money via social media and urged the public to verify any high-profile accounts before engaging in financial transactions.

Also last year, Ronnie confirmed he is just 20 flight hours away from securing his commercial pilot license, a goal he has pursued relentlessly since 2019. Despite a demanding schedule involving show business, military reserve duties, and his recent PhD graduation, Liang has balanced nearly 200 hours of rigorous flight training. Beyond his commercial license, the singer plans to complete an additional 20-hour Airbus rating to qualify for major local and international airline operations. Even with his busy cockpit schedule, Liang continues to lead the Project Ngiti Foundation, providing life-changing cleft palate surgeries while promoting his latest holiday tracks.
