A mother’s heart was shattered this Saturday as she made a tearful plea for justice following the horrific discovery of her 15-year-old daughter’s body. The victim, a young resident of Barangay Cupang, had been missing for days before her remains were found dumped in a ravine in Antipolo City.

The search ended in tragedy on Thursday afternoon when local children scavenging for scrap materials along Marcos Highway in Barangay San Jose noticed a small plastic drum. What they thought was a valuable find turned into a nightmare when they opened the container.
Antipolo Police Station Chief Public Information Officer PLt. Ken Ada-ol recounted the chilling moment the report reached them.
The girl was last seen alive on the night of January 19, 2026, at the Penafranca basketball court with her sibling. Because she had no identification on her when she was found, the police turned to social media to help identify her. The post eventually reached her family, who confirmed her identity.

Now, the grieving mother is begging for the person responsible to show mercy by turning themselves in. “Nananawagan po ako sa kung sino man ang gumawa nito sa anak ko, parang awa niyo na sana sumuko na siya,” she said during a recent interview. The family remains baffled by the attack, stating the teenager had no known enemies or reason to be targeted in such a brutal way.
The local police are not leaving any stone unturned. They are currently performing "forward-tracking" and "backtracking" of CCTV footage in the area to see who might have transported the drum to the ravine. The body has also been sent for a full autopsy to clarify how exactly the young girl passed away.
Cases involving bodies found in containers often shock the public due to their cold and calculated nature. This incident in Antipolo follows a worrying trend of similar crimes that have gripped the nation recently, where victims are hidden in boxes or drums to delay discovery.
In a similar chilling case, a suspect involved in a storage box killing surrendered to the authorities, claiming that the death of his live-in partner was a tragic accident. The man alleged that she suffered a fatal fall during a heated argument, but the circumstances of how she ended up in a box raised serious legal questions.
Another heartbreaking update regarding a storage box victim revealed that the woman had reportedly sent messages about receiving death threats before she was killed. This revelation added a new layer to the investigation, suggesting that the crime was premeditated rather than accidental.
