A woman’s body was discovered inside a small plastic drum along Marcos Highway in Sitio Cabading, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City. The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
According to Antipolo Police spokesperson Police Lieutenant Ken Ladyong Ada-ol, scavengers first noticed the plastic drum near a gas station in the Boso-Boso area. The authorities were alerted shortly after the discovery.
Police said the victim has not yet been identified. She is believed to be in her mid-20s and stands around five feet tall. Investigators noted that she has a tattoo on the right thigh. She was wearing a white top and denim shorts at the time she was found.
The scene of the incident was secured as the authorities conducted an initial investigation. Police also coordinated with local officials to gather possible leads related to the case. The forensic team examined the area and collected evidence that may help determine what happened to the victim.

Additionally, the Antipolo police urged anyone who may recognize the victim or has information about the incident to contact the Antipolo PNP. Authorities said public cooperation could help speed up the identification process and move the investigation forward.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. Based on a report by EJ Gomez on Unang Balita, the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school’s faculty room. Police said the school had a security guard, but since the suspect was a familiar face, he was able to enter and leave easily. The suspect said he went there to talk to his wife and fix their problem, but it ended in a heated argument.
