The first discovery occurred on Sunday morning in the Sula Channel, located in Barangay Sula, Bacacay, Albay. A local fisherman, while checking the waters, spotted the body of an unidentified man and immediately alerted the authorities. According to Maj. Niño Aquiatan of the Bacacay Municipal Police Station, there is a lead regarding the man's identity. The Bato Police in Catanduanes province contacted them and said they would verify if this was the missing resident of Bato town, authorities noted.

As the day progressed, another report reached the police at around 2:54 p.m. Residents in Purok-7, Barangay Angas on San Miguel Island, Tabaco City, found another man floating in the sea. Members of the Philippine Coast Guard and local police responded quickly, bringing the body to the mainland. However, the identity of the man remains unknown as investigators continue their work.

The heartbreak continued into Monday morning when a third male body was found washed near the shore of Barangay Panganiban in Gubat, Sorsogon. Much like the previous cases, local officials are still trying to determine who the victim is and where he may have come from before the currents brought him to the Gubat coastline.
