Following a hot pursuit operation, police operatives successfully arrested a 31-year-old male suspect in Angono, Rizal, on the morning of January 17. The investigation revealed a deep-seated motive rooted in personal conflict. According to the official statement of the Taytay Police Station, the suspect is the former partner of the woman who owns the store where the victim works.

The police explained that the suspect harbored a grudge against the victim. Furthermore, the store owner treated the victim like her own daughter, which reportedly triggered envy in the suspect.
