The encounter, which occurred in broad daylight, was captured on surveillance footage, providing local authorities with a critical lead in identifying the perpetrator.

The victim, a minor whose identity is being protected, was reportedly walking along the roadside in her school uniform when a man on a motorcycle suddenly pulled over beside her near the Barangay 17 hall.

According to the victim's account, the suspect initially attempted to gain her trust by claiming he was an acquaintance of her parents.

However, the situation quickly turned predatory. The CCTV footage shows the rider removing his helmet to speak with the girl before suddenly grabbing and kissing her.

The victim further alleged that the suspect hugged her and inappropriately touched her private parts before fleeing the scene on his vehicle.

The Bacolod City Police Station 2, led by Police Major Eugene Tolentino, has taken swift action following the report.

Investigators revealed that they have already identified a primary suspect whose description and vehicle match the details from the footage.

"Natukoy na namin ang suspek at nasa proseso kami ngayon ng pagpapatunay sa biktima ng kanyang pagkakakilanlan sa pamamagitan ng isang pormal na lineup," Major Tolentino stated.

The police also suspect that this may not be an isolated case. Authorities are looking into whether the same individual is responsible for similar complaints of harassment reported in other neighboring barangays.

If confirmed, this would suggest a pattern of predatory behavior targeting young women in the city.

The incident has left the young student deeply traumatized. Her mother, identified only as "Tintin," expressed her anger and heartbreak over the assault.

"Nanginginig ang anak ko sa takot; natrauma siya," she said. "Bilang isang ina, sobrang sakit dahil lagi akong naging maingat sa pagprotekta sa kanya, para lang mangyari ito."

In response, Barangay 17 officials, led by Chairman Roger Pabiana, have pledged to provide the victim with psychological first aid.

They are coordinating with the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) to ensure the minor receives the necessary counseling to process the ordeal.

As the investigation continues, the Bacolod police are urging other potential victims to come forward to strengthen the case against the suspect and ensure that such a brazen act of public harassment does not go unpunished.

In other news, a 61-year-old motorcyclist lost his life following a high-impact head-on collision with another bike in Barangay Cabaruan on a Sunday night. Police investigators confirmed that all three individuals involved in the crash were riding without helmets, which likely contributed to the severity of the injuries. While the elderly rider was pronounced dead at the hospital, two other victims sustained significant wounds and are currently receiving emergency medical treatment. Authorities believe the disaster was sparked by a spatial miscalculation on the road, causing both motorcycles to smash into each other in the center of the lane.
