A man was arrested after breaking into a condominium unit and stealing gadgets and other items worth more than P17,000 in Marikina City.
The incident happened on Sunday in Barangay Santo Niño, based on a report aired on Unang Balita.
Police said the suspect was riding a motorcycle and entered the condo gate without stopping for inspection.
Security guards immediately followed him after noticing his actions.

Investigation showed the suspect forced open the door of a unit on the second floor owned by a 64-year-old dentist.
Authorities said no one was inside the unit at the time of the incident.
Suspect allegedly used a screwdriver to break in and was later seen leaving one of the rooms carrying an eco bag filled with items.
He also failed to show any identification proving he lived in the building.
Recovered from the suspect were an airsoft pistol, an airsoft gas canister, a bladed weapon, and the screwdriver used in the crime.
Police also retrieved stolen items, including gadgets and portable hand and neck fans.
Charges of robbery will be filed against the suspect. Further checks showed the motorcycle he used was also stolen.
The owner from Quezon City reported it missing last December. Police added that the vehicle was linked to another theft case in Parañaque.
Records revealed the suspect had been jailed in 2023 and 2024 for robbery and for violating the Motorcycle Crime Act. He did not give any statement.
In a separate incident, another man was arrested for alleged theft at an auto shop in Barangay Marikina Heights.
Police recovered a stolen car battery worth nearly P3,000. The suspect denied the accusation and claimed he was only waiting for friends nearby. Charges of theft were filed against him.

In an earlier local report by KAMI, a family of three was mercilessly shot and killed inside their store in Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. CCTV footage showed three men entering the shop, closing the roll-up door, and then shooting the entire family to death. Before fleeing, one of the suspects even took a bag and a cellphone belonging to the victims. According to a report by Gary De Leon of TV5 Frontline Pilipinas, the family had started receiving threats after they lent ₱1 million to a resident of their barangay, who allegedly used the money for a business.
In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. Based on a report by EJ Gomez on Unang Balita, the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school’s faculty room. Police said the school had a security guard, but since the suspect was a familiar face, he was able to enter and leave easily. The suspect said he went there to talk to his wife and fix their problem, but it ended in a heated argument.
