In an interview with GMA News, her fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes, shared the chilling moment he heard Sherra’s voice again. Around 9:30 in the morning, De Juan’s mobile phone—which she had left at home on the day she disappeared—suddenly rang. When Mark answered, he could only hear someone saying “Hello” repeatedly. It appeared that Sherra could not hear him because the phone was damaged.

Not giving up, Mark called the number back. When Sherra finally heard his voice, she broke down. After confirming it was indeed his missing bride, Mark immediately coordinated with the police to fetch her.

Sherra explained that on the day she vanished, December 10, she did make it to the mall to buy her wedding shoes. However, she could not find the right pair, so she decided to move to another mall.
