The viral clip also shows two men following closely behind the woman. Moments later, they were able to catch up to her, successfully wrest the machete from her hands, and calm her down before anyone was seriously hurt. Their timely intervention prevented the situation from turning more dangerous.
The person who uploaded the video shared that the couple had a heated argument prior to the chase, although the exact cause of their disagreement remains unclear. No further details were provided regarding what triggered the conflict or how long the couple had been arguing before the incident was recorded.
To avoid a repeat of the alarming episode, those involved reportedly decided that the couple should cool off by staying apart for the meantime. The husband returned to his parents’ home, while the wife relocated to Catarman. This temporary separation was agreed upon to allow emotions to settle and prevent further confrontations.
Local residents expressed concern over the incident, highlighting how domestic disputes can quickly spiral into dangerous situations when emotions run high.
While no injuries were reported, the video served as a stark reminder of the importance of addressing conflicts calmly and seeking help when tensions escalate.
In another development, authorities in Quezon City have taken into custody a 20-year-old woman believed to be living on the streets for her alleged involvement in the December 10 abduction of 19-month-old Kiana Jane. Despite the arrest, the toddler has yet to be found, heightening the anguish of her parents as police continue search efforts across Novaliches. Investigators said the suspect reportedly befriended the child’s parents outside a store, even offering to buy them food, before taking the baby and leaving under the pretext of attending to a brief errand. The child’s father, Melvin Lorejas, has issued a heartfelt appeal, asking the public to immediately inform authorities or contact their family should anyone have information or spot his missing daughter.
Meanwhile, a separate emergency took place in Barangay Sipac-Almacen in Navotas, where a 28-year-old worker sustained serious injuries after her left arm became trapped in an industrial dough-rolling machine. She remained stuck in the equipment for nearly an hour as nearby residents tried to help using makeshift tools. Firefighters from the Navotas Fire Station’s rescue unit later arrived and deployed hydraulic extrication devices, freeing her arm in about five minutes. The woman was rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness, and her family later revealed that she is now suffering from severe psychological distress, along with pronounced swelling in the injured arm.
