Korina took to social media to share snapshots from the memorable encounter, reflecting on their history together. “After more than a decade, OG radio and TV partner Ted Failon (Hoy Gising and Tambalang Failon at Sanchez) and I reunited with long chats in the recent TV5 Trade Event. Partner!” she wrote.

She also credited Ted with one of their early initiatives: “Ted was the one who got me started giving tsinelas (or what he called ‘smagol’) to kids nationwide. That’s why we started in his hometown Tacloban.”

The reunion extended beyond just the two media personalities, as they reconnected with fellow former ABS-CBN colleagues.

She gained a reputation for her bold and fearless reporting style. Korina married politician and Araneta scion Mar Roxas on October 27, 2009, in Quezon City. The couple is blessed with twin children, Pepe and Pilar.

Korina clarified that this was never her purpose when conducting the conversations. Throughout her career, she has interviewed prominent figures from political dynasties and showbiz families, providing the public with insights into their lives and viewpoints. These in-depth and exclusive interviews have recently resurfaced online, with netizens attaching new interpretations to them.

Earlier, Korina and her team criticized Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto for a recent Facebook post targeting journalists who interviewed Sarah and Curlee Discaya ahead of the 2025 Election. In his widely shared post, the mayor questioned why the subjects would allegedly pay millions for interviews, implying journalists should have considered this. He also included screenshots from separate interviews conducted by Korina and Julius Babao with the Discayas. In response, Korina’s camp issued a statement addressing the mayor’s claims.
