A shocking incident in Cavite has led to the identification of fourteen police officers as suspects in the assault of a young woman, prompting widespread public condemnation and calls for swift justice.

According to a "24 Oras Weekend" report, initial investigations revealed that the victim had been outside her home when a group of armed men approached her.
The men allegedly introduced themselves as police officers from Canlubang before compelling her to let them enter the house.
Once inside, the suspects reportedly rummaged through the residence, taking the victim’s rings and cellphone.

What began as an unlawful search quickly escalated into a more violent crime. Investigators said the suspects eventually locked the door of the home, and it was there that the assault took place.
Authorities have since arrested eight of the fourteen suspects during a follow-up operation, while six others remain at large.
The ongoing manhunt reflects the severity of the allegations and the urgency expressed by both law enforcement and the public.
The Police Regional Office IV-A confirmed that the officers involved are assigned to the PNP PDEG SOU4A.
During operations, authorities recovered several firearms and rounds of ammunition, as well as the victim’s cellphone and motorcycle.
Multiple packets of suspected illegal dr&gs were also seized from the suspects, raising further concerns about the nature of their activities.
The arrested officers are expected to face charges of r@pe and robbery in band.
As the investigation continues, the case has intensified scrutiny of police conduct, renewing conversations about accountability and the need for systemic reforms to prevent abuses of power.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
