Authorities later located the woman, who denied any role in the attack.
She also claimed she was not the shooter’s passenger. Police continue to track the rider responsible for the shooting.
Officials suspect a personal dispute may have motivated the attack. Victims were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement stressed ongoing investigation to hold the attacker accountable.
In the Philippines, riding-in-tandem refers to a crime where two people on a motorcycle commit illegal acts, usually robbery, shooting, or harassment.
One person drives the motorcycle while the other carries out the crime, such as snatching a bag or firing a gun.
This method is common because motorcycles can move quickly through traffic and escape easily.
Law enforcement often warns the public to be cautious when seeing two people on a motorcycle behaving suspiciously, especially at night or in isolated areas.
