According to a report from GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, the teen suspect turned himself in on November 9, 2025, with his parents accompanying him.

He confessed that he strangled the girl last April.

Police said the suspect met the victim along the road near his home and invited her to have a drink. After drinking, he took her to an abandoned house in Purok 3A, where the crime took place.

The teenager admitted that he planned to kill her because he was angry. He claimed that the girl insulted his live-in partner, which triggered his rage.

To mislead investigators, he removed the victim’s lower clothing to make it appear that she had been sexually assaulted.

Her decomposing body was found months later in October.

Authorities are now preparing the case against the suspect, who remains under the custody of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) due to his age.

Police continue their investigation as the local community mourns the young girl’s death and calls for justice for the gruesome crime.
