Man killed in broad daylight in front of a crowd in Pasig City

A man was mercilessly attacked and killed by two suspects in the middle of a crowded street in Pasig City.

Authorities suspect the motive was a love triangle.

Based on CCTV footage, the victim was running when two men caught up with him in the middle of the road.

One of them hit the victim first, and the other stabbed him. The suspects then fled, leaving the man lying motionless on the street.

According to Police Colonel Hendrix Mangaldan, chief of Pasig City Police Station, the victim died instantly from a single stab wound to the back.

The kitchen knife used in the crime was left stuck in his body.

Police later arrested the suspect who delivered the fatal blow, while the other man remains at large. Investigation showed that the victim was the former partner of the arrested suspect’s live-in girlfriend.

Authorities said the suspect got angry after catching his partner chatting with the victim.

The woman later told police that the victim was her ex-boyfriend and that they had broken up a long time ago. She also revealed that the suspect had previously sent death threats to the victim.

The woman has cooperated with investigators and is willing to testify.

Meanwhile, the suspect denied the allegations, saying he was also a victim and would explain his side in court.

Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
