The argument quickly turned violent when the man began punching the woman. He later found a laundry stick and used it to strike her on the head.

Gamboa said the fight began when the woman confronted him about the missing P100, which she learned he had allegedly spent on illegal substance.

Authorities clarified that the man was not drunk and that their child was unharmed during the incident.

The suspect did not resist arrest and denied intentionally hitting his partner. He claimed it was an accident, saying he only pulled her and the stick accidentally struck her.

The suspect is facing charges for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

Police also discovered that he has a standing arrest warrant issued in 2018 for reckless imprudence resulting in hom!cide.
