Barangay 23 chairman Johnny Esmil confirmed that Taasan had no prior criminal or barangay record.

Investigators from the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered five bullet casings from an unidentified firearm at the scene.

Police Colonel Joeresty Coronica, director of the Bacolod City Police Office, said the suspect was reportedly involved in a business transaction with the victim.

“Mayroon na tayong suspek, kasosyo niya or may business transaction.

Authorities are now pursuing leads and reviewing witness accounts.

Coronica added that the shooting may have stemmed from a heated argument and noted that the suspect fled the area in a private vehicle amid a brownout that night.
