The incident occurred in a narrow alley in Barangay Calumpang, just a few meters away from the victim’s home.
According to a report by EJ Gomez on "GTV News Balitanghali" on Monday, the victim had just returned from work when the armed suspect confronted him.
The man was forcibly dragged, held at gunpoint, and struck in the head with the firearm, causing him to fall to the ground.

Despite being attacked, the victim reportedly tried to fight back and threw away his belongings, including an ecobag containing ₱400,000 in cash.
The robber, however, managed to seize the bag before fleeing the scene.
The victim sustained multiple injuries — a wound to the head and abrasions on his elbow and leg.
He told investigators that he was able to get a clear look at the suspect, describing him as short and bearded.
Police said the suspect was not acting alone. A cohort was reportedly waiting nearby in a car that was later captured by a CCTV camera as the two suspects made their escape.
Authorities are now conducting a manhunt for the suspects, who are believed to be outsiders unfamiliar with the area.
The local barangay has also coordinated with law enforcement to review security footage and strengthen patrols to prevent similar incidents.

According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big argument.
