The suspect was found while working at a carpentry job along Banawe Street in Quezon City.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Jose Luis Aguirre, their confidential informant reported that the suspect had been taking carpentry work in the area near NS Amoranto to hide and avoid recognition. Police waited for the right time and arrested him on site.
Based on the victim’s statement, the suspect allegedly molested her in January while he was very drunk.
She was able to escape and immediately told her mother about what happened. The mother then sought help, which led to the filing of the case.
The suspect refused to give a detailed statement and only said he had “no comment.” He also denied that he was hiding from authorities.
Police have already processed the return of the warrant and are now waiting for the court to issue the commitment order so he can be formally turned over to detention.
