Authorities said the SUV driver stopped to check on the victim and cooperated with the police.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Police investigators are now reviewing the CCTV footage and gathering witness statements to determine who was truly at fault.

They also reminded the public to follow traffic signals at all times, especially on busy highways like Aguinaldo, to prevent serious accidents.

The motorcycle and SUV were both taken for inspection as part of the ongoing investigation.

If a motorcycle rider beats the red light and gets injured after crashing into another vehicle, the authorities will still investigate the incident to determine who was at fault.

In this case, the rider will likely be held responsible for violating traffic rules. The police will document the scene, gather witness statements, and check any CCTV footage available.

The rider will be taken to the hospital for medical treatment, while the damaged vehicles will be moved to clear the road.

Even if the rider is the one injured, he or she may still face penalties for beating the red light, such as fines, suspension of license, or possible charges for reckless driving.

The other driver involved may also need to give a statement to confirm what happened, but will not usually face charges if proven to have followed traffic laws.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) can also impose administrative sanctions on the rider depending on the severity of the violation and damages caused by the crash.
