The man’s family went to the barangay office to explain his situation, but the police said they failed to present any medical documents to support his claimed condition.

Investigators also found that nothing was stolen from the couple’s home. Because of this, the victims decided not to file any complaint.

During the investigation, Police Lieutenant Norman Patnaan, commander of MPD-7, said the man’s relatives plan to press charges against those involved in the beating.

He shared that based on the inquiry, the man may have entered the house without any criminal intent, possibly due to confusion.

The man’s former live-in partner also confirmed that he used to live in the same house he entered. She said he probably thought it was still their home.

She insisted that he was not a thief, only confused because of his health condition.
