Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto delighted residents and netizens after sharing his trick-or-treat costume on Thursday, once again proving his charm and humor as a public official.

The mayor attended the city government’s trick-or-treat activity dressed as a student from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP), a playful nod to the local university.

During the event, Sotto was photographed with a young boy wearing a scout uniform. The two posed for a lighthearted photo inside the city hall, which the mayor later shared on Instagram. His costume, consisting of a PLP polo shirt and an official-looking ID lanyard, easily caught the attention of those around him — and later, of netizens.

In his post, Vico shared a humorous experience that came with his outfit. “May trick-or-treat sa city hall kaya nagbihis akong PLP student. Kaso may nanghingi ng deposit slip akala pala staff ako ng Landbank,” he wrote, drawing laughter and positive reactions from his followers online.

Online, the post quickly circulated, with many commending the mayor’s humility and good sense of humor. For Pasigueños, it was another reminder that their mayor knows how to balance his duties with moments of joy and laughter.

Vico Sotto, whose full name is Victor Ma. Regis "Vico" Nubla Sotto, was born June 17, 1989 and is a Filipino politician serving as the mayor of Pasig. He joined the Aksyon Demokratiko party and was elected mayor of Pasig in 2019 and was re-elected in 2022. He was re-elected for his third consecutive term at the 2025 elections. His parents are actor-comedian-host Vic Sotto and actress Coney Reyes, with both of them supporting their son in his political endeavors.

As previously reported by KAMI, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announced he will not run for any political position in the 2028 elections during his inaugural address. He said the early declaration frees him and allows him to focus fully on doing what he believes is right during his final term. Vico is now serving his third and final consecutive term as mayor, the maximum allowed by the Constitution. He reaffirmed his commitment to pursue reforms and policies for Pasig regardless of political consequences or popularity.
