Before the observance of Undas, the families of the missing sabungeros gathered at the Department of Justice for a prayer rally.
They called for the resolution of the murder and kidnapping complaint against businessman Atong Ang, actress Gretchen Barretto, former NCRPO chief retired Police General Jonnel Estomo, and others.
The complaint involves the disappearance of 34 cockfight enthusiasts from 2021 to 2022.
Eloisa Bohol, mother of Kiel Daniel Bohol, said she believes that justice will soon be served. She shared her faith that the decision will be fair and free from bias.

Other families echoed the same hope and brought posters of their missing loved ones. They hung a large banner outside the DOJ showing Ang behind bars, which they later pelted with eggs and tomatoes.
Two participants wore masks with the faces of Ang and Barretto. Bohol said she trusts that the government will prove that justice is not only for the rich but also for the poor.
She added that their fight will help restore people’s faith in the system.
Meanwhile, Carmelita Lasco, mother of Ricardo Lasco, vowed they would not accept money or bribes. She said they would keep fighting until they find their missing relatives.
Authorities said around 887 human bones have been recovered from Taal Lake as the search for the missing sabungeros continues.
