Authorities said a total of ten vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction crash, with two of them falling into a ravine due to the strong impact.

Despite the severe damage to the vehicles, police confirmed that no one was killed in the incident.

However, five people sustained injuries and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Investigators are still determining the exact cause of the brake failure and are conducting further assessments of the accident site.

Authorities also reminded motorists to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy and to drive cautiously, especially along downhill roads where brake-related accidents are more likely to occur.
