Isang trahedya ang naganap sa Lopez Jaena Street, Molo, Iloilo City noong umaga ng Oktubre 10 matapos mabundol ng isang modernized jeep ang isang nagbibisikleta na kinilalang si “Noel,” 58 anyos.

Ang driver ng jeep na si “Conrado,” 57 anyos, ay pumanaw din habang ginagamot sa ospital matapos na atakihin umano ng stroke habang nagmamaneho.
Ayon sa Facebook post ng anak ng biktima, hindi umano reckless driver si Conrado at isa itong hindi sinasadyang aksidente.
“Mahigit 30 taon na siyang nagmamaneho ng pampasaherong sasakyan,” ayon sa post.

Batay sa kuha ng CCTV, maayos pa ang kalagayan ng driver bago ang insidente, ngunit bigla na lamang siyang na-paralyze at hindi na nakontrol ang manibela.
Ayon sa mga nakakakilala sa kanya, karaniwan umano siyang humihinto kapag nakakaramdam ng hindi maganda, ngunit “traidor” ang sakit na stroke.
Nagpaabot din ng taos-pusong pakikiramay ang pamilya ni Conrado sa pamilya ng biktima.
“Kailangan din namin ng pang-unawa ng lahat dahil isa rin itong malaking trahedya para sa amin,” ayon sa kanyang kapatid.
Samantala, sinabi ni Police Master Sergeant Jessie Cabial ng Iloilo City Traffic Enforcement Unit na stroke ang naging sanhi ng aksidente.
Nakipag-usap na rin ang pamilya ng dalawang panig at ang transport cooperative, na nangakong sasagutin ang lahat ng gastusin.
