A man was killed while his younger brother sustained injuries after they were ambushed by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Bacolod City.

According to a report by GMA Regional TV on Balitanghali Tuesday, the victims were riding a motorcycle when they were approached by suspects on another motorcycle and were shot in Barangay Mandalagan.
The perpetrators immediately fled after the attack.
The younger brother of the slain victim survived the assault but sustained gunshot wounds to his back and shoulder.

He is currently confined at a hospital where he continues to receive treatment.
Family members of the victims expressed shock, saying the brothers had no known enemies and lived peacefully.
“Walang kaaway ang magkapatid,” they said, adding that the sudden act of violence left them searching for answers. Police have yet to determine the motive behind the crime.
Authorities recovered a firearm from the sling bag of one of the victims.
The weapon will undergo forensic examination to determine its possible involvement in the incident and whether it was linked to the suspects.
Investigators are also reviewing potential security footage in the area and appealing to witnesses to come forward with any information that could help solve the case.
The incident adds to the growing list of violent attacks involving riding-in-tandem gunmen in the country, a tactic often used in assassination-style killings.
Bacolod police assured the victims’ family that they are conducting a thorough probe to bring the perpetrators to justice.
