Authorities reported a disturbing discovery in Purok Malipayon, Barangay Sibucao, San Enrique, Negros Occidental, where a man identified only as alias Joerly was found dead and already in an advanced stage of decomposition.

According to reports, it was the victim’s wife, alias Joy, who first found her husband lying lifeless on a folding bed inside their home.
His body had already started decomposing, with his feet extending to the ground.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo Bacolod, Police Lieutenant Dante Eslit, Deputy Chief of Police of the San Enrique Municipal Police Station, confirmed that their team immediately responded after receiving information about the incident.

Initial investigation revealed that Joerly had been taking maintenance medic@tion for an undisclosed condition for quite some time.
Authorities believe his death was due to natural causes, but they are still awaiting the official results of a postmortem examination to confirm the exact reason.
Residents in the area expressed shock over the discovery, as the smell from the decomposing body alerted others before the authorities arrived.
Police said there were no signs of foul play at the scene. The findings, combined with the victim’s medical history, strengthened suspicions of a natural death.
For now, the family is left mourning the tragic and heartbreaking way in which they found their loved one.
Authorities have assured that updates will be released once the results of the postmortem examination are available.
