A 71-year-old rider lost his life after a truck crashed into his motorcycle in Davao City.

Reports said the accident took place in Barangay Marilog on Wednesday afternoon.

Police investigation showed that the victim had just finished refueling his motorcycle and was about to head toward Bukidnon.

Suddenly, a truck came and hit him hard.

The impact threw the victim off the motorcycle, and the bike caught fire.

He died instantly at the scene due to the strong collision.

Police placed the truck driver under custody and said he may face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property.
