The impact was so severe that the elderly rider was killed instantly, and his motorcycle was immediately engulfed in flames, turning the scene in Barangay Marilog into a spectacle of tragedy.

The victim, whose identity was confirmed by local authorities, had reportedly just refueled his vehicle when the collision occurred.

Initial investigation by the Davao City Police Traffic Group indicated that the rider was attempting a maneuver—possibly crossing the main thoroughfare or executing a turn—to proceed toward the direction of Bukidnon when a large truck suddenly approached and struck his vehicle.

For senior citizens who continue to ride, authorities frequently stress the need for heightened awareness due to potential issues with reaction time, vision, and the physical demands of quickly maneuvering a vehicle away from danger.
