Sanchez took to social media to share images of wide streets filled with protesters holding umbrellas, waving banners, and carrying placards that demanded accountability from those in power.

In the caption, she described the gathering as both a continuation of history and a reminder of Filipinos’ enduring hope for reform.

“My first big rally on EDSA was in 1986. I believe BAYAN’s Teddy Casiño was also my interviewee. Decades later…here we are. Again. Hope runs eternal. But it is up to us how history is written,” she reflected.

As she had done during the historic 1986 EDSA revolution, Sanchez once again documented the voices and sights of mass action — this time capturing a new generation of demonstrators, joined by church leaders and civil society groups, echoing the same call for justice and transparency.
