According to a report by Bea Pinlac on "24 Oras Weekend" last Saturday, the fire broke out past 2 a.m., based on the account of the barangay.

The mother really tried to bring her child out. But because the fire grew stronger, she lost hold of him. Since it started downstairs, she had no choice but to jump out of the window just to escape.

The fire engulfed two homes and reached the first alarm, affecting at least five families or thirteen individuals.

Barangay officials said the houses were tightly packed and made of light materials, which allowed the blaze to spread quickly.

Ang tagal bago na-off 'yung power.

Firefighters declared the blaze fully extinguished by around 2:30 a.m. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and the total value of the damage.
