The suspect, who was apprehended in Albay province, now faces multiple charges including robbery and s3xual assault.
The arrest was made on Monday morning after a multi-day manhunt led police from Pasay City to Legazpi, Albay.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was presented to the media by law enforcement officials.
He is believed to be the "back rider" during the robbery and is also implicated in the s3xual assault of two of the victims. The other suspect, identified as "Alyas Sherly," remains at large.
The crime took place in the early hours of Friday, August 29, 2025, when the two suspects were caught on CCTV cameras arriving on a motorcycle at an apartment compound in Barangay 140, Pasay City.
Police reported that the two men, one of whom was a former acquaintance of a co-worker of the victims, held up all 13 massage therapists at gunpoint, taking their mobile phones, wallets, and other valuables.
In a separate and more disturbing turn, two of the victims have also come forward with claims of s3xual molestation by the suspects.
Following the incident, the victims, shaken but determined to seek justice, positively identified the arrested suspect.
They recounted that he had removed his helmet and a face mask upon entering the apartment, allowing them to clearly see his face.
This crucial detail aided police in their investigation and subsequent pursuit.
The suspect, for his part, has vehemently denied any involvement in the crime.
In a statement to the press, he claimed he was at his residence in Pasay City during the time of the robbery and had traveled to Albay to participate in a billiard tournament.
However, police were able to use the security footage and other intelligence to track him down. The apprehension was also reportedly aided by the suspect's wife, whom authorities had spoken to and who encouraged him to surrender.
The manhunt for the second suspect, known by the alias "Ashley," is ongoing. Authorities believe he had an in-depth knowledge of the apartment compound's layout due to a prior relationship with a colleague of the victims.
The victim's co-worker was not in the apartment at the time of the robbery. The Pasay City Police are coordinating with local police in Albay and other regions to locate and apprehend the second suspect.
The arrested individual is now in a custodial facility and will be facing charges of robbery with violence and intimidation, as well as a separate charge of s3xual assault.
