A man was caught on camera stealing nearly P7,000 worth of items from a sleeping vendor in Barangay 49, Dagupan Creekside, Tondo, Manila, on Sunday morning.
CCTV footage showed the man passing by the area, waiting for the right moment, and slowly taking away a large bag that contained various goods such as hair ties and plastic products.
Later, the vendor was seen in the video looking distressed as she ran back and forth after realizing her bag was gone.
The victim, a 32-year-old mother of seven, explained that she accidentally fell asleep beside her rolling cart because she had spent the whole night watching over her goods at the market.

She shared that she had planned to sell again in the afternoon, but her products, worth around P7,000, were stolen.
The woman revealed that she only borrowed money from her neighbor to buy the items so she could have something to feed her children.
Now, she is appealing to the Manila local government unit for assistance, asking if she can be given fresh capital and a proper space where she can continue selling.
Barangay officials, meanwhile, said that although the victim is not a resident of their area, they are willing to extend help.
They are also coordinating with other barangays in hopes of identifying the suspect.
The barangay further urged anyone who might recognize the man in the footage to come forward and help locate him.
