Two suspects were arrested in Caloocan City in connection with the killing of two women who were found shot along the side of a highway in Palauig, Zambales last Thursday.
According to a report from GTV News Balitanghali on Monday, the suspects were captured at a hotel in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan.
Police also seized a firearm and two vehicles allegedly used in their escape.
Authorities said two other suspects remain at large and are now the subject of an ongoing manhunt.

While the full identities of the victims have not yet been revealed, investigators believe the case may be linked to illegal drugs.
Police are continuing their probe to determine the exact motive behind the killings and to track down the remaining suspects involved in the crime.
It can be recalled that two women were found lifeless on the side of the highway in Palauig, Zambales on August 14.
Based on the initial police report, a resident heard a vehicle speeding through the area around 3 a.m., followed by several gunshots, but chose not to investigate.
When police arrived, they recovered five empty .45 caliber shells, 15 transparent sachets, a lighter, and other belongings believed to be the victims’.
Authorities began a full investigation to find the motive and the people behind the killings. The victims’ remains were later examined by SOCO and brought for autopsy to determine the cause and time of death.

Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
