Police said they repeatedly ordered the man to cease his disruptive behavior, but he allegedly continued his actions, which prompted his arrest.

Authorities charged the suspect for violating Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code, or resistance and disobedience to a person in authority, and Article 287, or unjust vexation.

He was later brought to the Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS) of the Taguig police for further investigation and for the filing of appropriate charges before the city prosecutor’s office.

In a statement, the Taguig police reminded the public that officers are duty-bound to maintain peace and order, and their lawful interventions must be respected.

“Acts of resistance, verbal abuse, or disturbance against police officers performing their lawful duties will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” the police said.
