A multicab in the Philippines is a small utility vehicle commonly used for public transportation and light cargo delivery.
It is usually a compact, four-wheeled vehicle that can carry around 8 to 12 passengers, depending on its size and design.
Most multicabs are imported from Japan as surplus vehicles and are reassembled locally. They often have an open or semi-enclosed rear area with side-facing benches for passengers.
Multicabs are popular in both rural and urban areas because they are affordable, fuel-efficient, and able to navigate narrow roads.
They serve as an essential mode of transport in many communities across the country.
