A drunk man on a motorcycle crashed straight into the spot where the student and two rescuers were standing.
The moment was caught on video by bystanders, showing how the drunk rider ran over the victim’s body. Ironically, the drunk rider ended up on the stretcher himself.
The student was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The two rescuers suffered injuries. The rescue team strongly believes the student was still alive after the first accident and only died because of the second crash caused by the drunk rider.
The drunk rider later admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol when the incident happened.
He said he thought the flashing ambulance lights were from a store, and by the time he realized there were people on the road, it was too late to stop.
The victim’s family is determined to file charges, while the drunk rider is now in police custody.
