The victim, who was staying at a friend’s home with her sibling while their mother was in Manila, died from a stab wound to the chest inflicted by an eight-inch screwdriver.
The suspect, identified as a nephew of the homeowner, also lived in the same house.
At around 1:30 a.m., the victim’s sibling, who was sleeping beside her, discovered the incident.
