Authorities have arrested a suspect linked to the r@pe and killing of a call center agent in Negros Occidental, according to a report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group - Negros Island Region (CIDG-NIR).

The suspect, identified by the alias “Neil,” a resident of Barangay 3, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, was apprehended on Thursday, July 24, 2025. His arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 53 in Bacolod City last July 7, 2025, for the crime of r@pe with homicid&. No bail was recommended for his case.
Neil is considered the Number 3 Most Wanted Person at the Provincial Level in the Negros Island Region due to his involvement in this heinous crime.
He is the primary suspect in the r@pe and murder of Carl Kimberlyn Degabi, a call center agent whose lifeless body was found in Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, in January 2025.

The case drew public attention after Degabi’s brutal death sparked calls for justice from her family and local women's rights groups.
