“This is the new normal.” These were the words of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in response to the continuous rains in the Philippines in recent days, triggered by multiple typhoons and the Southwest Monsoon that caused flooding in many areas.
During a situational briefing with key government officials on Thursday, Marcos said that this kind of weather should no longer be seen as an “extraordinary situation.”

“Do not think of it as a special situation, this is... I hate to use the overused phrase but this is the new normal. Ganito na talaga ang buhay natin kahit ano pa ang gawin natin,” the President said.
He added that people must now plan and adjust their lifestyles, as typhoons and heavy rains can no longer be avoided.

“We just have to change the way we think. Everything was different from what it was in the last 40 years,” he added.
In recent days, three typhoons—Crising, Dante, and Emong—combined with Habagat, brought heavy rains and submerged several areas in floods.
As of Thursday, 40 cities and municipalities have declared a state of calamity.
Class suspensions and work disruptions in government offices have also continued in various parts of the country.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
