Dr. Kilimanguru, a doctor and prominent content creator known for sharing medical tips online, went viral after clapping back at a netizen who criticized his advice on leptospirosis amid the heavy rains and flooding brought by the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”

On his Facebook page, the concerned doctor shared a post reminding the public of the importance of seeking preventive treatment after exposure to floodwaters.

“Lumusong ka ba sa baha? Pumunta na agad sa pinaka malapit na barangay health center or govt hospital para mabigyan ng gamot at maiwasan ang leptospirosis. Hindi kailangang magka sintomas bago pa mag gamot. Puwede iwasan ‘to,” he wrote.

However, one commenter took issue with the advice and even dubbed the doctor “privileged.”

“Madaling sabihin pero sa situation ngayon mahirap pumunta ng center sa dami ng baha ngayon. Privileged,” the comment reads.

Dr. Kilimanguru didn’t hold back in his response, saying, “Paano naging privileged? King*na neto. Ang privileged hindi nagbibigay ng ganitong impormasyon.”

His fiery reply sparked a wave of reactions, with many netizens defending the doctor’s intention to spread public health awareness.

Dr. Kilimanguru later shared another attention-grabbing post that added to the buzz:

He likewise wrote a series of comments about his fiery response to the netizen.

“Pindot talaga si anger beh.”
“Ako talaga yun goiz. Hindi yun edited. I confirm.”
“Di na kasi people pleaser.”

Several areas in Metro Manila and nearby provinces have reported flooding due to continuous rains. Local governments have suspended classes and work in affected areas as precautionary measures.

On his social media pages, the celebrity chef shared photos showing his home submerged in floodwaters. Along with the photos, Ninong Ry urged netizens to stay safe and left an uplifting message. This is not the first time the chef-vlogger has endured flooding in his home, as he also experienced the same ordeal during Typhoon Carina last year.

In another report, Jessy Mendiola joined online critics in calling out the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for its meme-like post announcing class suspensions due to heavy rains and flooding brought by the southwest monsoon or “habagat.” On its Facebook page on Tuesday, July 22, the DILG posted a social media card that displays a message seemingly from Secretary Jonvic Remulla. The Kapamilya actress then left a frank comment questioning the announcement’s lighthearted tone.
