Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel recently delighted fans by going on a full-day thrift shopping spree at several ukay-ukay stores in Cubao, Quezon City.

In her latest YouTube vlog, R’Bonney shared her excitement about hunting for secondhand treasures to bring on her upcoming trip and to repurpose into fashion-forward pieces.

"I'm going to an ukay-ukay spot in Manila but this time I am going all day... I'm going to the thrift stores in Cubao now. I want to find clothes for my trip to South Africa," she said.

"I want clothes to upcycle, crochet... I also want any kind of clothes for my next collection."

During her shopping adventure, the beauty queen explored numerous stores and found several eye-catching items at bargain prices.

"I bought a lot of jackets. So many unique colors. A lot colors it's like hard to find but I'm lucky!" she said.
"I ended up paying ₱5,000 for seven jackets and a baby blue rare vest. Cubao was a success!"

Once back home, R’Bonney proudly displayed her thrift haul on camera and reflected on her choices.

"These are all in great condition. Not all the styles are something I would actually wear. Maybe if you style it right... but I just love the colors," she explained.

She added that her next step would be to transform the items.

"What I do now is I'm gonna bring them to dry cleaner to get cleaned before I end up tearing these apart and using this beautiful leather," she said. "I am going to cut these open, deconstruct, and reconstruct and make a super bomb outfit."

R’Bonney Nola Gabriel (born March 20, 1994) is an American fashion designer, model, and beauty queen who gained international acclaim after being crowned Miss Universe 2022. Born in Houston, Texas, to a Filipino father and an American mother, Gabriel spent much of her childhood between Texas and the Philippines. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design with a minor in fibers from the University of North Texas in 2018.

Her decomposed body was found in a DHA Phase-VI apartment during a court-ordered eviction; she is believed to have died 8–10 months ago. In other news, Paolo “Paowee” Tantoco died from coca1ne effects, with heart disease as a contributing factor, according to the LA County Medical Examiner. His death was ruled accidental, and the case remains open under file number 2025-04377. Tantoco passed away on March 8 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, a day after attending the Manila International Film Festival. He is survived by his wife Dina Arroyo, niece of former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo, and their three children.
