According to the family of the vehicle's driver, he managed to make a desperate call for help to his relatives, though his voice eventually faded and the connection was lost, marking their last communication.

The recovered body, identified as the employer of the SUV's driver, was located along Sampaguita Bridge in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.

This discovery site, some distance from where the vehicle was initially submerged, highlights the powerful and destructive force of the floodwaters.

Emergency responders from the North Caloocan CDRRMO, along with other disaster relief and police units, immediately launched a comprehensive search operation following reports of the missing vehicle and its occupants.
