“I never went on Ozempic. I tried another medic@tion once. I could not handle it,” the veteran actress revealed during the interview.
Cuneta elaborated on her health, particularly a heart condition that has required her to take maintenance medic@tions since 2003.
“Anything that I couldn't do for my own willpower and anything that made me feel artificially stopped. You know, my brain was... was like floating. I could not. And like I said, I have a heart condition. My resting heart rate is like that of a jogger, presently jogging. So I've had maintenance meds since 2003. And I have two cardiologists who can attest to that.”

When Constantino asked whether that meant she couldn’t take just any drug to help with weight loss, Cuneta responded firmly, “Oh no. I can't abuse my body that way.”
The singer-actress also talked about her long and challenging weight-loss journey, which began in 2016, countering claims that she took shortcuts to achieve her current figure.
“I made the decision to lose weight when I turned 50 in 2016. And because I had ruined my metabolism over so many years by going on crash diet after crash. -- name the crash diet, I've done it -- and I ruined my metabolism because you would really drop weight so fast and then you don't really want to accept it's just water weight, and sometimes when it's too much muscle, it's too much muscle mass, and then the rebound would be more than what you lost and so fast. I really ruined my metabolism.”
She added, “I think people would understand if they've been through what I've been through. So when I made the decision in 2016, I wasn't even sure that my body would respond in a positive way. I said, ‘God, if I do it slowly, can I still lose weight?’ Because I felt hopeless. That's why it took me forever.”

Recently, Shawie flexed the coffee mug she received inscribed with the Filipino phrase “The one sure thing amidst thousands of doubts,” which she described as “the sweetest yet” among her many tokens of appreciation. Sharon made a public appeal on social media for the fan who sent the gift to identify themselves, as the accompanying note was misplaced among the numerous packages she receives. Loyal followers, known as “Sharonians,” quickly identified the inscription as a line from Ebe Dancel's song “Bawat Daan.” The comment section of Sharon’s post was flooded with messages of love, longing, and unwavering devotion from her “Sharonians,” underscoring the deep and enduring bond between the Megastar and her fanbase.
