LTO asks viral motorcycle rider an explanation for the dangerous 'superhero' pose while driving

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is asking for an explanation from a rider who performed a superhero-like stunt by lying flat on his moving motorcycle in Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.

According to a report by "Balitanghali" on Wednesday, the rider was caught on camera doing this dangerous act while on the road.

The LTO has already identified the rider seen in the video and has summoned him to explain his actions.

Authorities are also checking if the motorcycle used in the illegal stunt is registered under his name. As of now, the rider has not given any official statement regarding the incident.

In the Philippines, when the Land Transportation Office (LTO) issues a show-cause order, it means the motorist is being officially asked to explain or defend their actions regarding a possible violation of traffic laws or road safety regulations.

The motorist must appear before the LTO on a specific date and explain why they should not be penalized, such as having their driver's license suspended, revoked, or fined.

Failure to respond or appear can result in automatic penalties like license suspension or disqualification from driving.

In simple terms, the LTO is giving the driver a chance to explain their side before deciding on any punishment.
