A senior citizen woman was not spared from an accident after being hit by a motorcycle in San Fernando, Pampanga.
According to a report by Glam Calicdan-Dizon on GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon this Tuesday, video footage showed the 78-year-old victim carefully crossing MacArthur Highway in Barangay Telabastagan, San Fernando City.
She was already halfway across the road when a motorcycle driven by a 34-year-old man suddenly appeared and struck her.
The victim fell and was rushed to the hospital by responding authorities, while the rider sustained minor injuries.

The rider told authorities that he could not immediately see the victim because the area was dark. Police Major Fernando Tolentino, Station Commander of CSFP Substation 4, stated,
“Three times na X-ray \[ang biktima], okay naman, wala namang lumitaw na unusual. Tapos meron pa siyang CT scan. Sa CT scan, kung may lilitaw na unusual, iso-shoulder ng kabila \[ng rider] kasi may settlement agreement naman sila mula sa lawyer.”
Tolentino reminded both drivers and pedestrians to be cautious, especially in dark areas.
He said, “Kapag tumatawid po [ang tao] sa pedestrian lane, mag-menor po tayo [mga motorista] kasi marami pong tumatawid doon. Magdoble-ingat po tayo. Sa mga tumatawid naman po, kapag po tumatawid, tinitingnan din po ‘yung paparating magkabilang panig kasi may mga motorista din po na reckless kahit makita po ang pedestrian.”
