Two people, including a 10-year-old child, were killed after being brutally attacked with a fire extinguisher and stabbed with a screwdriver by a man who went on a violent rampage inside a computer shop in Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte.
According to police, the suspect was believed to be high on illegal drugs during the attack.
As reported by Jandi Esteban on GMA Regional TV One Mindanao this Tuesday, the violent incident happened early Monday morning in Barangay Tibal-og.
Based on police investigations, the 25-year-old suspect was playing inside the computer shop when he suddenly became violent and attacked the victims, aged 10 and 22. Police stated that both victims suffered stab wounds and injuries to their bodies and heads.

The computer shop was also heavily damaged during the rampage. When authorities arrived, the suspect was found naked and was immediately arrested.
According to Police Major Eduardo Corpuz, chief of Santo Tomas Police Station, there were signs that the suspect was high on illegal drugs.
Corpuz said, “Kining suspetsado niabot daw ni sa computeran nga hubog human nasuko siya kay gipulihan lagi daw siya sa iyang lingkuranan. Kaning minor gidunggab niya sa screw driver, nay samad sa likod dughan ug sa ulo. Ang isa, gibunalan pud niya og fire extinguisher mao ng nangamatay.”
Corpuz also shared that the suspect admitted to using shabu, although no illegal drugs were recovered during the arrest.
The suspect did not give any formal statement and is now facing charges of double murder.
