According to local authorities, the victim was hit in the left shoulder when the firearm unintentionally went off.

She was declared dead on arrival after succumbing to blood loss due to the remote location of their residence, which delayed immediate medical assistance.

The victim’s son, who was cleaning the firearm at the time of the incident, immediately surrendered to the police and cooperated with the investigation.
