A 44-year-old woman was killed after being shot multiple times by a motorcycle-riding assailant while inside her car in Caloocan City.

According to a report from Unang Balita on Tuesday, the victim was just moments away from reaching her home in a subdivision located in Barangay 169 when the shooting occurred.
Eyewitnesses and initial investigation revealed that a suspect riding a motorcycle approached the victim’s vehicle and fired several shots at close range before quickly fleeing the scene.
Responding police officers recovered six bullet casings at the crime scene.

The woman, whose identity has not yet been disclosed to the public, was declared dead on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the attack.
Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas and are appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the suspect or the incident to come forward.
As of this writing, the identity of the shooter remains unknown.
The Caloocan City Police has vowed to exhaust all efforts to bring the perpetrator to justice and provide answers to the victim's family, who are now mourning the sudden and violent loss of their loved one.

Mae said that the suspect borrowed her cellphone, and she suspected that he used her e-wallet to play on Scatter, eventually leading to an argument and to the assault.
