A government-owned dump truck in Marilao, Bulacan was reported stolen.

But it didn't stop there, because after it was taken, the vehicle ended up being sold several times.

Based on a report by TV5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the investigation revealed that the main suspect was a utility helper working for the Municipality of Marilao.

Involved with him in the crime were his wife, his cousin, and another individual who was seen on CCTV footage during the time the dump truck was taken.

It was June 13 when two individuals were caught on CCTV walking to where the dump truck was parked.

Then just moments after, the dump truck was seen being taken.

Based on the investigations, they sold the truck to someone in San Mateo, Rizal.

The first buyer bought it for 100,000 and tried re-selling it for 400,000, but nobody took the re-sell price.

Because of the Marilao Police's backtracking, they managed to locate the final buyer of the truck.

The suspects are still at large and will be charged with carnapping.

In the Philippines, carnapping refers to the unlawful taking or stealing of a motor vehicle without the consent of the owner, and with the intent to permanently or temporarily deprive them of it.

This crime is covered under Republic Act No. 10883, also known as the New Anti-Carnapping Law of 2016.

Carnapping includes not just cars, but all types of motor vehicles such as motorcycles, trucks, and even government-owned vehicles.

If violence, intimidation, or force is used during the act, the offense becomes more serious and carries heavier penalties, including life imprisonment if it results in the death of a person.

In a previous report by KAMI, a family of three was mercilessly shot and killed inside their store in Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. Caught by CCTV, three men entered their store, closed the roll-up door, and shot the entire family to death. Before fleeing, one of the suspects even grabbed a bag and a mobile phone from the victim. In a report by Gary De Leon of TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the family started getting threats after lending P1-M to one of the residents of their barangay; allegedly using the money for business.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
